This Island Is On FIRE!

As pilot I used to love flying in from the south east, from maybe Exuma or Rock Sound Eleuthera around this time of year. We would hit the southern shoreline and traverse the island heading to towards the airport. We crossed the land with a birds eye view and were treated to a stunning display of the gorgeous and vibrant Poincianna trees that cover New Providence, a carpet of green with vivid red bursts giving the appearance that the island is on fire in a beautiful way.

Truly a wonderful sight, the almost breathtaking intensity of the colors and from the air you see just how much of the island is home to these trees that are so stunning when in bloom.

Team ERA aka Team "Conch Salad" WINS Great Abaco Family Fitness Triathlon - Olympic Distance!

ERA Dupuch Real Estate once again sponsored Team ERA to compete in the GAFFW triathlon event in Treasure Cay Abaco this past week-end with the Olympic Event held on Saturday March 21st, 2015.

We all rubbed our eyes, rolled out of bed at Oh Dark Thirty and wandered over to the staging area in Treasure Cay next to the gorgeous 3 mile, world-renowned beach. It was pitch black! Soon enough as the sun was rising the swimmers set off and the race was on!

Katie Roach swam an impressive speed at 22.35 minutes for the 1500 metre distance (pretty much 1 mile) in the unusually very murky water (created by large ocean swells from the day before) and I hopped on my bike and peddled madly down the Great Abaco Highway even having to negotiate a…

Team ERA and the Great Abaco Family Fitness Weekend!

Team ERA is once again in training as they get ready to compete in the annual GAFFW Great Abaco Family Fitness Weekend this weekend in Treasure Cay. See GAFFW They will be competing in the Olympic Event, in the water will be Katie Roach, and on the bike will be our very own Ken Chaplin – and for the first time the runner will be 13 year old Joshua Kelly of Abaco. (Ken is delighted as this brings down the average age of the team considerably) Wish them good luck!…..Photos next week so standby!

Great Golf at Pure Silk, Ocean Club, Bahamas!

For the third year in  a row I was fortunate to be  a walking scorer volunteer for the Official Pure Silk LPGA golf Classic held at the One & Only Ocean Club Tom Weiskopf designed golf course, a golf course surrounded by spectacular ocean vistas and some spectacular multi million dollar homes! As a real estate broker and an avid golfer (10 handicap) I was like a kid in a candy store!!
 

 
The event attracted and has attracted for the past three years the best professional lady golfers in the world such as, Michelle Wie (pictured) Lydia Ko, Lewis, Sandra Gal and many many more!
 
 
 
The event started on Thursday, February 5th and ended spectacularly with a three woman playoff on Sunday, February 8th.
