Young Sidney was sent to Cat Island as a boy to be raised by his grandmother until just before his early teenage years.
Cat Island real estate consists of miles and miles of beachfront and waterfront property available on both sides of the island. The islands magnificent beaches can be seen as far as the eye can see, from some of the best hilltop real estate in the world. Do not expect to find casinos, large resorts, well stocked food stores, pharmacies or specialty stores in Cat Island. The residents here live off the land and the sea. It is very difficult to get supplies shipped in on the local mail boat from Nassau.
