Ken Chaplin

A former top executive in one of the largest retail companies headquartered in The Bahamas, Ken Chaplin had a life-altering moment that left him questioning what he really wanted to do. The answer, he discovered, was not retail, but real estate and from the moment he re-directed his attention, Ken has been a go-getter whose clients have come to think of him as the professional they trust, the friend they want to keep.

Educated at St. Andrew's in Nassau, earning a degree in Business at Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland, Ken spent nearly 15 years on top of the corporate ladder. During that he invested time in real estate, and it was those investments that opened the door to personal financial freedom allowing him to leave the world of suit-and-tie behind and, with his wife and two children, fulfil a dream, sailing the Caribbean and South America aboard their 47-foot sailboat for two years, visiting more than 30 countries.

When he returned home to The Bahamas, Ken jumped headfirst into real estate as a full-time profession, becoming the top performing broker at ERA Dupuch for several consecutive years. His record performance has been marked by numerous awards. In the summer of 2008, he became one of only three realtors outside the United States to qualify for the highest certification in ERA's luxury real estate division. His style is down-to-earth and easy mannered. He tells it like it is and always has a plan. A former BREA Director, a member of the National Association of Realtors and holding BRI, CRS and ERA International Collection certifications, Ken was admitted to the prestigious circle of top-performing ERA sales associates at the exclusive invitation-only Beyond Excellence Global Conference.

Ken is a keen cyclist and regularly participates in the various local triathlons as part of the ERA team, Team Tri-Harder! Ken is an expert on the entire Bahamas.
